Position Summary

Pearson Online & Blended Learning is looking for an inspired, mission-driven software developer with a penchant for security.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Assess, prioritize and remediate security vulnerabilities in software
2. Develop and maintain risk analyses
3. Create security guidelines and policies for software development
4. Advise on and evangelize secure coding practices
5. Create realistic test data sets

Qualifications / Requirements:

1. Experience hardening multi-tier Web applications
2. At least four years developing object-oriented Web applications using .NET with a database backend
3. Exposure to RESTful Web API and asynchronous development
4. Experience working in Microsoft Cloud stack including Azure technologies
5. Experience using JavaScript frameworks
6. Ability to independently solve technical problems in a virtual work environment, collaborate when necessary, and proactively ask for help.
7. Stable High-speed Internet access at home or your remote work environment

In addition, the ideal candidate should have:

1. Experience designing and creating highly scalable database-oriented Web applications
2. Experience writing technical requirements
3. Experience working in source control, such as Git or Azure Dev Ops (ADO)
4. Experience working on Agile teams, especially if work experience includes working in SAFE
