Role: SQL Analyst

Location: NY/NJ Preferred (Open for remote)

Job Description:

Required:

Possess a strong understanding of the data and technical architectures underpinning products and analytics

Ability to synthesise multiple requirements to inform common data model design.

Ability to use Advanced data query tools (e.g SQL, grep, R, python ) to investigate and assess sources of data

Nice to have big data and Cloud/AWS/GCP/Azure exposur

Can read/interpret (and challenge were appropriate) data architectural standards

Understanding/affinity for the role of Analytics – dashboards, reports, graphical visualisations – in supporting Business decisions

Familiarity with data repositories such as data lakes and data warehouses, and the modelling required to populate them

Ability to work with stakeholders and SMEs at both business and technical levels

Well versed in writing Agile User and Technical stories

Documentation skills to capture as-is and to-be worlds

Responsibilities will include

Undertaking technically focused scope, feasibility and gap assessments for data requirements for new and existing products

Expressing requirements in stories for team consumption, with well-formed Acceptance Criteria

Helping prioritise backlogs to deliver greater value from the delivery teams within lesser time

Ensuring team and public documentation is maintained

Supporting Agile way of working and ceremonies

Preferred Experience

Experience with AWS, BI tool, Jira, Confluence

Experience providing customer analytics and/or digital analytics

Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments

Experience navigating complex matrix business organization

Experience with Looker or similar BI tools
